Golf Roundup: Seton Golfers Fire Low Numbers In Win Over Tornado

JOHNSON CITY - Seton Catholic Central posted the low score by a Norwich opponent this season carving out a 32-shot victory Monday after at The Traditions at the Glen.

Michael Bucko carded a match-best 37 to lead the Saints, and chart overall match medalist honors.

Julien Smith continued his recent steady play for Norwich (2-3) shooting a 43, and Jacob Morris was one back for the Purple at 44.

GREENE - Greene improved its record to 4-1 on the season, and halted UV/G-MU/Morris’s 14-game match winning streak spanning over two seasons in a win Tuesday at Genegantslet Golf Club.

Parker Flanagan led a strong Trojans trio shooting a 42 over the par-35 front nine. Lincoln Youngs was one back at 43, and Clayton Leonard fired a 46 for the Trojans.

UV/G-MU/Morris’s Scott Murphy posted the low overall score of the day shooting a five-over-par 40. Owen Hill had the only other sub-50 round tossing in a 44. The UV/G-MU/Morris saw its record fall to 4-1 on the season.
