Duke Robillard Band Steps in to NBT Summer Concert Series

NORWICH –The Chenango Blues Association is excited to announce that the Duke Robillard Band has graciously agreed to drive up from Rhode Island to play this Thursday’s NBT Summer Concert date in Norwich’s East Park. They replace Shinyribs who had to cancel due to illness in the band.

Duke Robillard has been nominated twice for Grammy Awards and has won many Blues Music Awards as Best Guitarist. The New York Times calls him “a soloist of stunning force and originality.” Duke’s playing moves stylistically from Texas to Kansas City to Chicago’s West Side, and he makes it look easy.

His most recent band has added a horn section, bringing him back to early in his career as the founder of Roomful of Blues. Since then, he has moved throughout the artistic world, from replacing Jimmie

Vaughan as guitarist in the Fabulous Thunderbirds to his current work as a producer, photographer,
