Summer reading program at New Berlin Library

NEW BERLIN – Starting on July 1 the New Berlin Library will begin its 2021 Summer Reading Program.  This program is for children ages 12 and younger. The Summer Reading Program was designed to incentivise summer reading and keep young minds cognitively engaged over summer vacation.  The theme this year is Tails and Tales.    

Summer  Reading Program logs will be available at the circulation desk at the then of June. For each 15 minutes of reading a child can color in a tail on their reading logs.  With each ten tails colored the child can choose a prize. For Each completed

The schedule for the next 4H/Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chenango County After School Programs is May 26th  - Paint a Flower Bouquet. The after school programs takes place from 3:30-4:30 in the New Berlin Library Community Room.  Participants are required to wear nose and mouth coverings and practice social distancing.

Some great new additions to the library include: The Sky Blues by Robbie Couch, Things That Grow by Meredith Goldstein, The Anthropocene Reviewed, Zero Fail: The Rise and Fall of the Secret Service by Carol Leonnig, and Dorothy Mills DVD.

The New Berlin Library is located at 15 South Main Street, New Berlin.  The Library is open Monday and Wednesday 10AM-8PM; Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10AM-5PM; and Saturdays 10AM-noon.  The web address is http://libraries.4cls.org/newberlin/wp/ .
