NORWICH – Chenango Arts Council is pleased to announce its next exhibit, A Contemporary Impression: Moments of the Mind will be on display in the Mariea Brown and Raymond Loft Galleries from May 11-28, 2021.

The work of artist and teacher Sarah Carman, it is a study in bold shapes, vivid hues and different textures. She drew inspiration from teaching, parenthood, even the COVID pandemic. Says Carman, “What I have learned most from creating is my work is a direct expression of my experiences, inspirations, and feelings. That expression is easily swayed because art is fluid as life is.”

In addition to the large, vibrant works, Carman’s photography will be on display, creating contrast as well as another layer to this examination of artist expression.

The show will posted on ChenangoArts.org and Chenango Arts Council’s social media in addition to hanging in the gallery.

Chenango Arts Council is located at 27 West Main Street, Norwich NY 13815. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Thursday 10 am to 5pm but a private viewing may be scheduled for any day.

Masks and social distancing are still required. Any questions may be directed to 607-336-2787 or info@chenangoarts.org.
