Local Sports Roundup: Kennedy Throws Perfect Game In Greene Shutout Of Oxford

SOFTBALL

OXFORD   - Greene pitcher Olivia Kennedy struck out 13 Oxford batters, and finished with a perfect game over six innings in a 20-0 mercy rule victory over the Blackhawks on Friday.

Kennedy helped herself at the plate finishing with five RBI - including a three-run homer in Greene's eight-run third - while also scoring three runs.

Faith Tierno was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate for Greene scoring four runs and driving in two. Kylie Ferris also had three hits for Greene, and scored a pair of runs.

OXFORD - At Bluestone Golf Course, Delhi's Corey Zasick shot a match-low 40 over the par-34 front line lifting the Bulldogs to a road victory on Thursday afternoon.

Oxford sophomore Christian Paden led his contingent shooting a 45. Ethan Fleury and Liam O'Brien added matching 51s for the Blackhawks, and seventh-grader Bennett Paden fired  a 53.
