Volleyball: Oxford Outlasts UV In Five Sets

OXFORD -  In a seesaw battle with visiting Unadilla Valley, Oxford closed out the Storm in five sets, 25-20, 22-25, 25-13, 19-25, 25-17, Wednesday on senior recognition night.

Maddy Howe had five aces, 10 kills, and 15 digs for Oxford, which improved its record to 7-1 on the season.

Howe closed out the first game for the Blackhawks with nine straight service points. In the third set, Lilie Horton and Daysha Simpson each racked up five straight services to help the host team regain command.

Olivia Kelsey led Oxford with 12 kills, and Horton paced the Oxford defense with 23 digs.

UV’s Shannon Lloyd put away eight kills to go with three service aces.
