NORWICH – The longest active win streak in New York State high school football continues.

The reigning ‘Class C’ State Champ SV Sabers’ continued their win streak-clinching their 28th straight win with a dominant second-half performance over the Purple Tornado at Ulrich Field on Friday night.

With the high-wind weather conditions at kick-off grounded the high powered Sus Valley offense led by their 2019 ‘Class C’ player of the year- standout quarterback Logan Haskell.

The windy weather played in favor for the Purple Tornado defense as attempts at break out offensive plays were simply out of the question for the Sabers early offensive series.

Despite Haskell being unable to utilize his premier passing ability- the Sabers called upon their plethora of offensive weapons- Anthony Dominguez, Ryan Rychlewski, Brendan Hoffman, and Scott Howard to lead their running attack…and they never broke stride.

Dominguez broke ground in the first quarter for the Sabers with a seven yard touchdown run at 8:19 to put the reigning state champs ahead 6-0.
