CHENANGO COUNTY – The New York State Police at Norwich are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who broke into a building in the Town of Pharsalia.

According to representatives from the New York State Police, in November 2020, troopers were dispatched to a report of a break-in at the Balsam Inn in the Town of Pharsalia.

Officials said surveillance video captured the male subject who is a heavier set, older white male wearing a grey long sleeve shirt, a hat and jeans. They said the man is accused of breaking into the business on November 26, 2020 at approximately 2:19 p.m., and taking neon signs, bar lights, a bar table and bar stools. They added that he is also caught on camera destroying several items, including ripping a camera off the wall.
