Thursday’s COVID-19 Update For Chenango County

CHENANGO COUNTY – Chenango County reported an additional three COVID related deaths on Thursday.

“Since yesterday’s report our office has been able to confirm three additional COVID-19 deaths in Chenango County. Our hearts go out to the those affected,” said Director of Environmental Health and Code Enforcement Isaiah Sutton.

“As we continue to see the worst outcomes of the ongoing pandemic we must implore everyone to follow best practices in public, at work and at home to protect ourselves and those around us.”

According to officials there are 192 active cases of COVID-19 in Chenango County, and 22 hospitalizations.

The Chenango County Department of Health confirmed there have been 1795 total cases of COVID-19 in Chenango.

There have been 35 confirmed deaths.

The health department also confirmed there are 447 residents under quarantine, and 1,545 total recoveries.

So far approximately 64,090 tests for the virus have been administered in the county.
