NORWICH – The Live Nativity drive through event scheduled to take place in Norwich today was moved to a virtual stage due to reports of impending rain and flooding.

According to Cvfree Church Lead Pastor Jen Westervelt, the event will be video recorded and made available on the church’s website at cvfree.church.

“Due to the weather protection of persistent rain and flooding, our team has decided to go virtual with our Live Nativity event,” said Westervelt. “All the hard work of our volunteers has been captured in a movie that will be available to our community this evening via our website www.cvfree.church and Facebook page @cvfreenorwich.”

Westervelt said anyone wishing to donate food items may still do so by dropping those donations off on the church front porch located at 4299 NY-23, Norwich, NY 13815.

“We, too, are disappointed by this change, but if there's one thing we've learned throughout 2020, it's the value of adapting to overcome challenges,” she said. “Merry Christmas from cvfree.”
