OXFORD – Blueox Energy Products and Services partnered with The Impact Project on its 116th project late last week to help a homeowner in the Town of Oxford by providing them with and installing a new furnace system and fuel storage free of charge.

According to Blueox Senior Vice President Julia Miller, this is the first time Blueox has partnered with The Impact Project to help a local family, but it likely won’t be the last. Miller said the nonprofit reached out to see if Blueox would be willing to help a local resident in need, and they were happy to answer the call.

“I think everybody has a certain expectation that their fuel and energy provider is just some big energy company, but for us that’s just not the case - we employ your friends, family, and neighbors and we live in the communities that we service,” said Miller. “What matters the most is that Helen is taken care of and that she can be comfortable, and I think that’s something we can all stand behind at the end of the day.”

When asked why Blueox decided to take part in the project, Miller said community activism has always been a core value of her company’s culture.
