City Gets Break On Dumping Fee For Collapsed Building

NORWICH – The City of Norwich is getting a break from Chenango County Public Works as it moves forward with acquisition and demolition of a crumbling building on the corners of Mitchell and State Streets.

The Chenango County Board of Supervisors has authorized a $5 reduction to the city's tipping fee to help offset costs of dumping scrapped lumber and masonry at the Chenango County landfill in Pharsalia.
