Published: June 3rd, 2020

OXFORD - The Oxford Memorial Library has announced that it will be starting “curbside” pickup beginning Monday, June 1.

According to Oxford Memorial Library representatives, patrons with Oxford library cards will be able to go to the online card catalog and place holds on library materials.

Oxford patrons may also call the library at (607) 843-6146 to request materials with library card numbers handy. Another option is to email requests to ox.ill@4cls.org.

Library representatives said once they have pulled your items, they will call you to set up a time for you to pick up your materials.

There are three options for pick-up: the library can leave them on the front porch, the back-foyer entrance from the parking lot just inside the outer door, or the back entrance on the far right that accesses the community room area just inside the outer door.

They added that items will only be left in the pick up spot for a designated time period for security reasons with a reminder to arrive at your appointed time or call the library. No patrons will be allowed in the actual library at this time and there will be no personal contact for pick up.

All materials being returned to the library must be returned in the book return box on the front porch.

Representatives added that the Oxford Memorial Library and Oxford Memorial Library Youth Services Facebook pages are a good way to stay updated with their events. Its webpage http://www.oxfordmemoriallibrary.org also works for updated information with the coronavirus.

The library reminds visitors that when it's able to open up, attendees are required to wear masks and follow the social distancing guidelines. They said they look forward to serving individuals again, as they have sincerely missed their loyal patrons.
