CHENANGO COUNTY - A bill sponsored by Congressman Anthony Brindisi recently passed the house, and has millions of dollars in aid to Chenango County municipalities along with nearly a million dollars towards Chenango Memorial Hospital.

According to Brindisi, the Access for Rural Communities Act (ARC) has passed the House of Representatives and is now in the Senate. Brindisi said legislators are working to get it added into the next round of stimulus measures to fight the pandemic.

“I’m pushing very hard to get it included in the senate,” said Brindisi. “It's going to help fix a bureaucratic nightmare, and help save local hospitals five million dollars.”
