NORWICH – From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on May 21 at the Chenango County Fair Grounds, Helping Hands has partnered with SUNY Morrisville Dairy Day to hand out hygiene bags and non-perishable food items.

The donation night was originally scheduled to be held on the same day in the evening at the Norwich YMCA.

“This decision was based solely on the convenience for the community so they only had to go to one place for their needs. Instead of coming back out again later that night on the same day,” said Helping Hands Director Lorri Race.

“We’re still going to offer the same thing; the female hygiene bag, the male hygiene bag, and the food bag. It’s still sponsored on behalf of Helping Hands, however we are just partnering with SUNY Morrisville,” said Race.

According to a recent post from Helping Hands, the organization has collected almost 600 bags to distribute during the event.

“I wanted to say thank you to SUNY Morrisville for inviting us and becoming a partner with all of their other sponsors,” said Race.
