NORWICH – A total of 12 3-pointers made by the Norwich Lady Purple Tornado paced the team to a 72-39 win over Union-Endicott on an emotional and eventful senior night contest.

Tornado head coach Josh Bennett and the Girls Basketball booster club honored the four seniors – Halea Eaton, Jenea Davis, Abby Flynn and Emerson Burton – before the start of the game in front of a packed crowd.

Injured in the second game of the season, Eaton took the floor for the starting five for the first time since the said contest. Union-Endicott allowed Norwich to take the opening tip and the Purple Tornado kicked the ball ahead to the senior.

One dribble into the basket, Eaton fired up one attempted but missed. After gathering the rebound, the second chance went off the backboard and through the net to give the senior the final two points of her four-year varsity career.

As agreed, Norwich then allowed the visiting Tigers team to score an uncontested basket at the other end and the score was tied at 2-2.
