Marauders’ Wrestlers Pins Three In Loss To Cooperstown

SHERBURNE – Of the action on the mat, Sherburne-Earlville took care of business, winning three of the five matches wrestled but it was the first three forfeits of the match that helped the visiting Cooperstown Hawkeyes secure the victory over the host Marauders Tuesday, winning 42-30.

S-E’s Ethan Eldred pinned Sam Rhodes of the Hawkeyes in just 26 seconds at 182 pounds and teammate Alex Thompson took the 220 pound bout with a 29 second pin over Ian Poole. At 285, the Marauders Colby Spavin took the win in 1:50 seconds over Cooperstown’s Hunter Wilfeard.
