NORWICH – The Parade of Lights is this Saturday, and event representatives said this is the perfect time to celebrate the kick-off of the holiday season.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday in downtown Norwich, with treats including free coloring books, children gifts, and yogurt. Other event benefits include performances from the Edward P. Maloney Memorial Pipe Band and Hilby the Skinny German Juggling Boy, along with a meet and greet featuring Santa at his igloo in the park.

The parade route will start at the corner of Eaton Avenue, head north on Broad Street, to Fair Street.
