NORWICH - On October 12, the Lt Warren E. Eaton, DSC American Legion Post 189 proudly hosted the Sixth District American Legion Auxiliary's Fall Conference.

The purpose of the conference was for department officers to get new information to the members. 2019-2020 District President Sophie Liberatore welcomed guests from all ten counties, her officers, and especially the Department of NYS President Linda Tome and her officers; 73 attendees.

There were program reports, a membership skit, a prestigious award presented, raffles, and a hearty lunch to satisfy all.

NYS Dept. President Tome is spreading the news that the American Legion Auxiliary will turn 100 on November 10 and all Units should plan to celebrate this year.

Linda said that the values of the first ALA National President, Edith Hobart, of selfless service to America’s veterans, service members, military families, and local youth are the same today as they were 100 years ago.
