NORWICH – This Saturday, at 11 a.m., October 19, the annual Norwich YMCA Halloween Parade will take place.

Immediately after the parade the awards ceremony and door prize giveaway for area youth will be held on the courthouse steps in West Side Park. This years sponsors: Nina's, Park Place, NBT Bank, Elizabeth and George Mead foundation, and the Tim & Danielle Ryan family.


In addition to the parade the YMCA encourages everyone to enjoy all of the entertainment and vendors participating in the final Saturday in the Park with Chobani for the season.

Costume judging and float judging will take place in front of the courthouse in West Park

The YMCA and judges ask that all those entering the costume contest to have an 8.5x11 sheet of paper on the costume with a written number visible number to assist the judges in describing the costumes.



Those who have walking in the parade are asked to begin lining up at 10:15 a.m. Locations for the participants is as follows:

Norwich City Police Department


Chenango County Sheriff's Department


Norwich Fire Department (Various Trucks)


Norwich EMS (Ambulance)
