NORWICH – City of Norwich officials held an open house and announced that their recently rebuilt home complete with in-floor heating, tile flooring, and new appliances is now on the market for potential bidders.

The over 2,000 square foot home, located at 45 Silver Street in Norwich, was rebuilt from the ground up using funds from a RESTORE New York grant, covering approximately $120,000 worth of construction.

The Restore New York Communities Initiative provides municipalities with financial assistance for revitalization of commercial and residential properties. The program encourages community development and neighborhood growth through the elimination and redevelopment of blighted structures.

According to New York State Governor Cuomo, communities across New York are making strategic investments to help grow their local economies, and through this latest round of Restore NY, their most vulnerable areas will receive the support needed to re-energize and develop once again.
