UV takes two road wins over the weekend

GREENE – Ranked number 12 in the New York State for Class C Boys Soccer, the Greene Trojans improved to 9-1-1 on the season after receiving four goals from Terriek Brown in the home win over Bainbridge-Guilford in Monday night.

Brown opened the scoring with back-to-back goals within the first 13 minutes of the Midstate Athletic Conference match, both coming from passes made by Alec Frair.

Frair netted the third goal for the Trojans off a through ball from teammate Calob Davenport. Greene continued to score in the first half, tallying another three before the halftime break.

Ryan Porter continued his scoring streak, recording the only goal for the Bobcats, putting his first half shot into the back of the net. The Trojans, however, went into the half with a 6-1 lead.

Out of the break, Greene showed no signs for slowing down as they added another three in the half – two scored by Brown to give him his four for the night.

Scout McCumiskey had two goals in the win while Alex Trunovic and Davenport each added their own to give the home Trojans nine for the night.

Greene took a total of 22 shots, outshooting the visiting Bobcats by 18 for the game.

B-G’s keeper made 12 saves in the contest.
