Norwich Places Third And Second At 2019 MAC 4000

NEW BERLIN – Norwich’s boys cross country team came away with 73 points and a third place finish at the 2019 MAC 4000 at Unadilla Valley Tuesday afternoon. The girls team placed second out of six teams, scoring 75 points. Both the boys and girls teams from Harpursville/Afton finished the meet with no score as they were considered incomplete.

Tornado runners Steve Kaman, Makaio Sutton and Julian Roque came across the finish line as the first three of the entire field, racing to times just passed the 15 minute mark.

Kaman finished first overall with a time of 15:04 while Sutton and Roque were separated by two-tenths of a second, placing second and third at 15:20 and 15:22.

Norwich’s Zander Sutton was the next runner to finish for the Tornado, coming in at 18:19 for 29th. Zack Russell (20:55) and Kyle Vanderwyde (21:41) rounded out the Norwich squad.
