NORWICH – Improve Norwich Now has partnered with other organizations in the community to offer nine classes on financial literacy with the only cost for attendees being approximately $100 for course materials.

The course named, Financial Peace University (FPU), will span over nine weeks, starting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, at the Norwich YMCA. The course will then continue each Thursday until the nine weeks are over.

According to Improve Norwich Now Co-Founder Jen Westervelt, this opportunity to become financially literate and make a plan to get out of debt was made available thanks to Canasawacta Valley Free Methodist Church and the Norwich YMCA. Westervelt said FPU is a course designed by renowned financial expert Dave Ramsey to allow people to get out of debt and save money.
