GREENE – The 100th annual Greene Labor Day Picnic is slated for Monday, with a variety of events scheduled including a hose fight, tractor pull, chicken bbq, and 5k run.

According to event organizers, the opening ceremony will be held on Monday, September 2, at the Ball Flats in Greene.

Hose fights will kick off the event at 8 a.m., with Midway Rides and Stuff the Bus with Supplies opening at 9 a.m.

Beginning at 10 a.m., a chicken BBQ will open, along with exhibits by the Greene Garden Club, Greene Historical Society, Microd Club, and a car show.

The parade will begin at 10:15 a.m., with a horse show at 10:30 a.m., and opening ceremonies at the ballflats at 10:45 a.m.
