NORWICH – Two individuals were arrested Tuesday after they fled police during a traffic stop, resulting in a short car chase and a crash in the Town of Norwich.

The chase began on East Main Street in the City of Norwich. Police followed the vehicle into the Town of Norwich where it drove into a ditch on Burdick Medbury Road. One occupant was arrested on drug charges and the other had pending parole warrant.

Randy L. Condon Jr., 34, of Sidney was charged with third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer in a motor vehicle, first-degree reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, and was also arrested on a bench warrant out of the New York State Department of Parole.

Kellie M. Gregory, 31, of Unadilla was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

According to Norwich Police Department Assistant Chief Scott Burlison, Norwich officers attempted to stop a motor vehicle at approximately 2 a.m. Tuesday morning, on East Main Street in the City of Norwich.
