“This was the most intense hiring process I’ve ever been through,” said Green. “But I understand why, because it’s such an amazing opportunity, and I’m so incredibly proud and excited to be able to make a difference.”

She said she hopes to be able to continue the work that Craig has done for the past eight years, and she added that she plans to reach out to Commerce Chenango membership when she officially becomes CEO.

“I think my first priority is to meet with the current membership and talk about their needs,” said Green. “From there I want to look at expanding our membership base and encourage others to come to our meetings.”

“I also want to work on attracting and retaining businesses and employees in our area.”
