NORWICH – The Guernsey Memorial Library will host things year's 'Movies Under the Stars,' starting Wednesday with a showing of Wonder Woman and free popcorn.

The events will occur at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday nights through July and August in the Library Park.

According to Guernsey Memorial Library Director Connie Dalrymple, the library started Movies Under the Stars in 2015, making this its fifth year.

"The Library Board came up with the idea as something new and exciting the Library could do for the community," said Dalrymple. "We’ve been loaning out DVDs and Blu-Rays for many years, but having the movies outside gives folks a reason to come together in a fun, relaxed atmosphere."

She said the library officials settled on Wednesdays because they didn’t want to be in competition with the Colonia Theater.
