Local Burglars Indicted By Grand Jury

CHENANGO – A Chenango County grand jury indicted several people last week on felonies charges, a number of them relating to thefts or sexual crimes.

Matthew Jones was indicted for crimes relating to two alleged break-ins in the Greene area.

He was indicted on two counts of second degree burglary, a class C felony; one count of third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony; two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, an E class felony; and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Allegedly Jones broke into homes in the village and town of Greene between May 24 and 29, stealing $11,387, credit and debit cards, gasoline, and work gloves from the homes.

Nathaniel V. Dungey, was indicted for crimes after allegedly taking sexual advantage of an incapacitated victim.
