SYRACUSE – The 2018-2019 high school sports season is near complete with softball and baseball still to crown New York State Champions. However, Section III honored their top senior scholar-athletes who excelled in both the classroom and on the playing field on Monday night at the Section III Scholar Athlete Awards Dinner presented by Coca-Cola Bottling Company of NY.

The dinner celebrated the accomplishments of 185 scholar-athletes and recognized the achievement of each student throughout their career as a student-athlete. The best male and female scholar-athletes from 105 schools located within Section III were honored at the event with scholarships, plaques and certificates.

Four student-athletes that attend schools in the Chenango County area were recognized at the dinner for the 2018-2019 year.

Sherburne-Earlville’s Kaitlyn Furner and Adam Aldrich were joined by Otselic Valley’s Jessica Comfort and Micah Lyon as Section III Scholar-Athletes for their school.
