NORWICH – Hospice and Palliative Care of Chenango County is hosting a service of remembrance candle-lighting ceremony tonight to honor those who have recently passed.

The event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Guernsey Memorial Library Park, with a secondary rain date scheduled for June 18.

Hospice and Palliative Care of Chenango County has several duties, including caring for patients, living in Chenango County, regardless of age, that have an incurable condition and a prognosis of six months or less to live.

Officials said they're specialists in providing pain and symptom control, and in giving emotional, social and spiritual support to our patients and their loved ones.

They added that tonight's event is open to anyone in the community who has experienced the death of a loved one.
