NEW BERLIN – Both the Unadilla Valley boys and girls bowling teams swept their matches with Deposit on Friday afternoon, finishing the season with a final record of 46-10 on the season. Both of the Storm bowling squads currently lead the Midstate Athletic Conference and await for the conclusion of the regular season to determine if they are crowned the regular season champions. 

In their match against Deposit, the UV boys team put together two straight games with more than 1000 pins racked up for their score. Led by Austin Jackson’s 658, the team finished with a final pin total of 2972 – 693 better than their opponent for the match.

Jackson started for the three-game match bowling a 248, the highest score of game one in the match. He followed it up with a 212 in game two and a 198 in the final game of the afternoon.

UV’s Will Rumovicz also started off hot, bowling a 234 and a 222 for his first two games. He finished with a 163 in game three for a series total of 619.

Colin Grant of the Storm recorded a three-game total of 632 and rolled a 278 in game two for the highest single game of the match by any bowler of the two teams.
