Trojans roll past Warriors

BAINBRIDGE – The Bobcats used a big first quarter run to take the Friday night win over Midstate Athletic Conference opponent Deposit/Hancock, 61-55.

Bainbridge-Guilford jumped out to a 17-5 lead in the first quarter and continued to hold that lead through the second after both teams tallied 20 points in the quarter.

After the intermission, the Eagles chipped away at the Bobcats lead in each subsequent quarter but B-G hit the foul shots from the charity stripe late in the game to preserve their lead and hold on for the victory.

B-G’s Devon Scherhaufer, Haiden Burns and Thomas Palmatier each went 2-for-2 at the free throw line down the stretch and the home team claimed the six point win.
