GREENE – Greene-Oxford wrestlers struggled Friday evening with visiting Sidney, falling 48-23, in the Midstate Athletic Conference match, but rebounded Saturday afternoon with a 35-22 non-league victory at Ithaca.

Noah Kennedy (195) and Brady Smith picked up pinfalls for Greene-Oxford, but seven of Sidney’s nine victories came via pin.

Facing a shorthanded Ithaca squad, Kaden Wakefield (99) and Paul Baker (160) registered pins and Brady Smith had a technical fall at 132 pounds for Greene-Oxford.

Greene-Oxford hosts Marathon Tuesday evening at Oxford Academy.
