NORWICH – The third annual Toys for Tots Spaghetti Supper Benefit at Colonia Theater last Wednesday raised $1,300 and about 3,700 toys to be donated to Chenango County children this Christmas.

Event chairman Lon Yerton said he was pleased with the turnout on Wednesday, calling it a "huge success."

"What was so good about the event was people did more than just follow the guidelines of one toy and seven bucks, many people donated several toys and more cash than $7," said Yerton. "The overwhelming generosity of Chenango County residents helped make it a great success."

Patrons at the benefit were served a spaghetti supper and had the option to watch either Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas or The Cat in the Hat in one of the theaters after dinner.
