Bobcats Stay Perfect After 40-19 Win Over Bulldogs

BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats rushed for 311 yards as a team in their 40-19 win over Delhi, staying a perfect 3-0 on the season.

B-G Running back Nick Petrutoni put the Bobcats on the board first with a 39 yard touchdown run.

Delhi answered with a drive that was capped off by Mike Griswold’s 1 yard score. The Bulldogs took a one touchdown lead following a Warren Pardee 15 yard run.

The second quarter saw one more touchdown by Pardee and an extra point by kicker Brody Silcox to give Delhi 19 points.

The Bobcats, however, went on a tear in the same quarter as they scored 20 points, including another TD run by Pertutoni from 13 yards out. His touchdowns in Saturday’s game give Pertrutoni number nine and 10 on the young season. He finished with 14 carries for 149 yards on the ground and the two scores.

B-G’s Evan Hyzer ran for a touchdown and tossed one to Mason Brown while Alan Terzo punched one in from three yards for the other points in the second.

Garrett Ives had a 12 yard run for six and Hyzer ran another one in to give the Bobcats 12 points in the second half. Hyzer connected with Terzo for the two-point conversion, ending the second half scoring with 14 points for Bainbridge-Guilford.

The Bobcats defense held Delhi to no points in the second half, giving the home team their third victory of the season.
