DEPOSIT – The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats struggled to get their offense going on Monday against Deposit’s stand-out in the circle, Makenzie Stiles, as the home Lady Lumberjacks won 10-0.

After three scoreless innings, Deposit struck first in the bottom of the fourth when they scored two runs on a bases clearing double by Kyra Martin, scoring Erin Ballard from third and Bryn Martin from second.

B-G’s starting pitcher Morgan Neidig got out of a bases loaded jam in the same inning, forcing two Deposit batters to ground out and striking out another.

Neidig allowed three hits and three runs over four innings, striking out two in four inning of work on the rubber.

The first hit allowed by Stiles was given up to the Bobcats’ Bree Barber in the fourth inning. Barber hit a two-out double, lining a shot to the centerfielder. She was left on base, however, as her teammate K Davy lined out to the leftfielder.

Bailey Hart recorded a single in the fifth and Megan Palmatier had a base hit in the sixth to give B-G a total of three hits.

Stiles, picking up the win for Deposit with a complete game pitched, struck out 12 Bobcats.

The Lumberjacks’ Bryn Martin had the hot bat for the home team as she went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple, four RBIs and three runs scored for the afternoon.
