The Spirit of Christmas held in New Berlin

It's apparent The Spirit of Christmas is alive and well in the Town of New Berlin following Saturday's annual holiday event. A number of organizations and individuals from the greater-New Berlin area gathered at the New Berlin Firehouse for The Spirit of Christmas to ensure that the less fortunate have themselves a merry Christmas by donating gifts, food, seasonal wear, and more. The annual event is made possible by: Unadilla Valley Central School, NBT Bank, Preferred Mutual Insurance, Service Pharmacy, New Berlin Food Pantry, Senior Citizens group, Liberty Partnership, Dollar General, the New Berlin Thanksgiving Community Dinner Committee, and New Berlin-area churches. "The Spirit of Christmas is truly alive in New Berlin," said event volunteer Terry Potter. "I believe our mindset has always been to share The Spirit of Christmas in our small part of the world and to help families that may be in need. This is a community event that involves businesses, organizations, community member volunteers, and churches working together to make this happen each year." (Frank Speziale photo)
