Voices Sought For Ecumenical Choir

NORWICH – The United Church of Christ is offering an opportunity for Norwich area signers to have their voice heard.

The church is inviting singers from area church choirs, school choirs, and interested community members to join them for performance of ‘Darkness Into Light; A Christmas Journey of Music,’ by Composer Mary McDonald.

The event will be hosted by the UCC, under the leadership of Director Mary Mayo Williams and Accompanist Bob Oehme. Rehearsals and the performance will take place at the UCC church located at 11 West Main Street in Norwich.

Darkness Into Light is an extended 40-minute work for singers and narrators which will require a commitment of significant preparation time. The musical selections feature fresh settings of carols along with beautiful new songs and celebrates the Light of Christ.
