NEW BERLIN – The Unadilla Valley varsity boys soccer team couldn’t have played much better – and yet, they still emerged on the wrong side of a 1-0 game.

It was in fact Delhi who walked away the victors – snagging a perfectly placed ball with 20 minutes remaining in the second half – striker Paul Avila took a rebound that came off of Lamont and found the back of the net.

“The Storm fell to the visiting Bulldogs 1-0 after a hard-fought battle between the two schools. Overall, I was pleased with the way we played, moving forward and going to the ball,” said Unadilla Valley head coach Ryan Houck. “Delhi is a well-coached team and it shows in their patience on offense and movement of the ball.”
