Local artist “Revive the Ambience” set to showcase a place lost in time Friday June 23

UNADILLA – A local artist who works under the name of “Revive the Ambience” will be displaying his photography artwork of abandoned buildings at The Meeting Place coffee house this Friday, June 23, for one evening only.

Lifelong Norwich-resident Stefan Foster has been capturing rundown and abandoned buildings since August of 2013 when Foster was introduced to the art of decaying buildings by his partner, Kurt Riegel.

Quoted from Foster’s third published book, “My photography aims to capture the dark and obscure atmospheres of the abandoned buildings, cemeteries, and sites that I travel to. Through my photography, I aim to share my experiences from the haunting corners of the Earth I have been able to explore.”

Foster’s interest in abandoned buildings and photography began in college while studying Mental Hygiene Law, stemming from photographing and researching abandoned mental hospitals.
