Local National Day Of Prayer Rally Set To Take Place Thursday

NORWICH – In observing the 66th annual National Day of Prayer coming up on Thursday, May 4, East Park in Norwich will play host to a religious rally from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring live music, religious speakers, and a prayer circle.

The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday in May which coordinates an opportunity that allows citizens of faith to pray for our nation.

The band "Called 4 U" will kick-off Thursday's festivities at 11 a.m., performing at select times during and after the rally.

Speakers at the rally beginning at 11 a.m. will include: Pastor Jeff Cutting of Highland Park Alliance Church in Greene; Pastor David Wurly of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Chenango Bridge; and Pastor Doug Harding of Greene Assembly of God Church.
