BAINBRIDGE – Marking the end of the Midstate Athletic Conference basketball season, the annual Senior Classic was held on Tuesday night, March 7, to recognize the years of hard work all of the athletes have given to their respective programs over the years – as well as having a fun all-star game type atmosphere with the teams of Broome/Chenango counties assembling the Western squad and Delaware/Otsego county squads assembled an impressive Eastern bloc.

Bainbridge-Guilford coach Bob Conway led the West and Harpursville coach Kurt Ehrensbeck led the East. The competition was all in good fun however, as the West broke down the East’s offensive wall, when Kayla Spangenberg of Delhi scored 20 points on the night, as the West came away with the 60-55 win.

The tightly contested first half of the contest provided a high powered offensive effort from Spangenberg who led all scorers with nine points at the half, as both teams remained deadlocked at 26 entering halftime.
