DEPOSIT – Following delays and rescheduling due to inclement weather at the beginning of last week – the Oxford girls varsity bowling teams exploded for two solid matches on the lanes – while the boys proved competent by grabbing a tie before being outdone in Friday's matchup.

Taking on Deposit on Jan. 26, due to a rescheduling from Jan. 23, the Oxford girls snagged a solid 4-0 win, while taking the total pin-count win at 2,234-1,264.

The lady Blackhawk's Jourdan Pinney led the way for her squad – as the only female bowler to hit a 200 game – as Pinney snagged the game high with a solid third game at 204. Pinney would also secure the series high with her 540 series this past Thursday. Tying for the third highest game for Oxford – Pinney snagged a 192 game in the second – was Savannah Beech and Erin Howard – each of who battled it out in the third game to finish with a 168.

On the Deposit side, they would be swept away in essentially all facets of the contest, boasting just four bowlers – they would see their game and series high go to Carolynn Struble. Struble claimed the game high in the third with a 159, en route to her series high of 419.
