NBT Bank To Teach Smart Saving Habits To Afton Elementary Students

AFTON – Afton Central School has teamed up with NBT Bank to add financial education to its curriculum. On Friday, Dec. 9, the school is bringing NBT Bank's Strive® financial literacy programs to students in pre-kindergarten through second grade in an effort to instill strong financial habits and awareness at a young age.

It is reported that students who participate in this program will be able to identify money-saving choices and explain how spending choices can impact the environment. Friday's session will specifically focus on enhancing their mathematical and science skills.
