NORWICH – The fourth individual involved in what authorities referred to as 'the largest meth bust to date in the City of Norwich' was sentenced to serve two and a half years in the New York State Department of Corrections in Chenango County Court on Monday, Oct. 24.
Patrick S. Davenport Jr., 25, of Oxford, agreed to enter a plea of guilty to one count of unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine in the third degree, a class D felony, and was sentenced as a predicate felon. Along with his sentence, Davenport will also serve a year of post-release supervision, and is liable for $4,333.16 in restitution.
Davenport was one of four suspects accused of cooking and using methamphetamine at a residence across from an elementary school, on Prospect Street, in the City of Norwich, on Feb. 10, 2016. After receiving a trespass complaint, authorities at the time said that they recovered several 'one-pot' methamphetamine cooking containers located throughout the apartment, which was reportedly supposed to be vacant.
