BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge-Guilford girls soccer team made a statement win over Odessa-Montour when they edged out the win, after the game went to penalty kicks with B-G earning the win in dramatic fashion at 4-2 on penalty kicks.
The lady Bobcats, an eighth seed faced off against ninth seeded OM, to which the seeds proved correct in prediction of abilities from both rosters.
B-G took the first goal of the day during the matchup on Oct. 19. This goal secured a 1-0 lead at the half. However, despite a second goal from the Bobcats, Odessa-Montour would rally back in the second half to score twice. With the final score at the regulation 2-2, the two teams squared off for an additional two ten minute periods of extra time, the result remaining the same with the teams stalemated at 2-2.
