Late push from lady Bobcats leads to win on senior night

BAINBRIDGE – The Bobcats of Bainbridge-Guilford hosted the ladies of Oxford for a varsity girls soccer match on their senior night, to which a second half push extended B-G to the win at 2-0.

Prior to the start of the game, Bainbridge-Guilford honored their three graduating seniors: Dani Johnson, Olivia Garror, and Abbi Miller.

With a 0-0 halftime score, the Bobcats used a penalty kick from Molly O'Hara with 33:46 left in the game; followed by a strike from Miller with 26:38 left to give them the 2-0 lead over the Blackhawks – B-G's Morgan Swartwout would have one assist to Miller.

The offense of B-G would simply overwhelm and wear down the Blackhawks who only managed five shots on goal and no corners. In the win B-G saw 17 shots on goal and five corners.
