BINGHAMTON – The Chenango Hellcats Legion baseball team stepped onto Conlon Field on Friday, July 8, looking for a much needed league win. The Hellcats saw a dominating performance from one individual among others, helping them secure a 10-1 win over Post 1645 Binghamton.

“It was a great game. Tommy Voce, it was really good to have him back. He was on fire, he was unstoppable. He destroyed it,” said Hellcats head coach Jason Miller. “Our team, if you put these guys on a field, you cant really stop them when they’re on, and they were on.”

Voce stood on the mound for The Hellcats for the entire seven innings, tossing out 102 pitches in the game. Of those 102 pitches 62 were strikes, in a game that saw Voce secure an astounding 12-strikeouts, with only four hits and two walks.

Notably Voce would go 3-3 at the plate for The Hellcats, recording one RBI on the night.

Binghamton's Tim Oshea would look to match Voce's production on the day when he pitched for seven innings as well, however, a slew of Hellcat batters would see to it that his day was not as favorable.

Oshea would throw 148 pitches in the game, recording 82 strikes, however, allowing eight hits, eight walks, and only recording five strikeouts.
