Two Out-of-county Individuals Arraigned On DWI Charges

NORWICH – Two men were arraigned on charges relating to driving while intoxicated when the Chenango County Court held a morning session on Friday, May 27.

• Chad M. Wurster, 35, of East Syracuse, appeared in the Chenango County Court on charges of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree, a class E felony; and driving while intoxicated, a class E felony.

According to the May, 2016 Chenango County indictments, it is alleged that on March 18, 2016, Wurster operated a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup on North Main St., in the village of Sherburne, while his ability was impaired by alcohol, having more than a .08 blood alcohol content, and while also knowing that his New York State drivers license was either revoked or suspended.

Wurster was allegedly observed swaying while he walked, had slurred speech, blood shot watery eyes, while his breath smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage.

First Assistant District Attorney Michael D. Ferrarese represented the people of Chenango County and the Honorable Judge Frank B. Revoir Jr. presided over the arraignment.
